Tanjiro support
Contact
Email app-support@kingofthehour.com. Include the app version, your iPhone model and iOS version, and a description of what happened.
Do not send passwords, app-specific passwords, API keys, email contents or other sensitive personal information. Tanjiro does not require an account, and we cannot see your conversations, memories or email.
Downloading the model
On first launch Tanjiro downloads its language model (about 1.1 GB) from Hugging Face, checks its size and SHA-256 fingerprint, and stores it on the device. Use Wi-Fi and keep enough free storage available. If a download is interrupted or fails verification, start it again from the onboarding screen. After the model is installed, chat works offline. If the app reports memory pressure, close other apps and tap Retry.
Connecting email
Open Explore → Email accounts → Add account (also available in Settings). Gmail and Microsoft accounts sign in through the system browser sheet with read-only permission. For iCloud Mail, create an app-specific password at account.apple.com and enter it in Tanjiro's secure field. Other IMAP servers must use TLS on port 993. Up to five accounts can be connected.
Tanjiro never sends, deletes, moves or marks email as read. To send a message, Tanjiro opens Apple's Mail or Messages sheet, and you review and tap Send yourself.
Disconnecting and revoking access
In Email accounts, choose Disconnect for an account. This removes its stored tokens or password from the device Keychain. You can also revoke Tanjiro's access at any time from your provider: Google Account → Third-party apps & services, Microsoft account → Apps and services (work or school accounts: My Apps or your administrator), or revoke the app-specific password at account.apple.com.
Network access
Tanjiro's Network access setting is Off, Ask (default) or Allowed. With Ask, every request shows the service it will contact before anything is sent. Weather uses Open-Meteo and needs no key. Web search (Brave Search), stock quotes (Finnhub) and package tracking (17TRACK) work only with your own API keys, which are stored in the device Keychain. The in-app browser does not run website JavaScript; open such sites in Safari instead.
Permissions
Tanjiro asks for iOS permissions (Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, location, microphone, speech recognition, camera, notifications, Home, Bluetooth) only when you use a feature that needs them. Change them at any time in iPhone Settings → Apps → Tanjiro.
Deleting your data
- Delete individual conversations in the app; this also removes email excerpts and tool results stored with them.
- Open Settings → Memory to review, edit or delete saved memories.
- Disconnect email accounts and remove API keys to delete stored credentials.
- Delete the downloaded model in the app, or delete Tanjiro from your iPhone to remove all of its data at once.
