Chilly privacy policy
This policy covers Chilly: Snow Adventurer, bundle identifier com.kingofthehour.games.chilly. Advertising and the optional Remove All Ads purchase described below apply to advertising-enabled iPhone builds. Earlier ad-free builds and the Android, Windows and iPad experiences do not initialize this advertising integration.
Game data on your device
Chilly stores progress, high scores and preferences locally. It does not require a Chilly login or operate a player-profile backend. Gameplay, models, music and narration are bundled in the app. Chilly does not use the camera, microphone, contacts or precise location for gameplay, and does not send those contents to an advertising provider.
Google advertising and consent
Ad-supported iPhone builds use Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Google and its advertising partners may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device or app identifiers, diagnostic/crash/performance information, advertising data and interactions with the app or ads. These support ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and related analytics. Chilly does not add a separate Firebase or developer analytics service.
Where required, UMP requests a privacy choice before ads. Advertising is requested only when UMP permits it. Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission is separate: Chilly requests it when applicable, and does not request IDFA-based personalization when you decline, are restricted, or have not authorized tracking. Regional consent choices further restrict serving. Non-personalized or limited ads can still involve data processing; refusal does not mean that no information is processed.
Publisher first-party ID is disabled and ad content is restricted to Google's general-audience content category. Google processes data under its policies and may process it internationally. Read Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps and sites.
Purchases and Apple
Apple processes the optional one-time Remove All Ads payment. Chilly reads Apple's verified purchase entitlements and transaction updates to unlock the ad-free experience, restore purchases and handle refunds or revocations. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple account password. The entitlement follows the Apple account under Apple's purchase rules; it is not a mutable game-save flag or a subscription. Once ownership is verified, new app-initiated ad requests stop and loaded ads are discarded. A known paid launch does not initialize advertising. If the SDK was already initialized before purchasing, it has no general shutdown API, so purchasing does not promise the immediate termination of all provider background processing in that process.
Your choices
- Open Privacy Choices from the purchase/privacy page when available to revisit required regional choices.
- Change Apple's tracking permission in device Settings.
- Buy Remove All Ads to remove Chilly advertising; use Restore Purchases when needed.
- Delete the app to remove its local game data. Apple maintains purchase records separately, and deletion does not cancel or erase an Apple purchase.
- Contact us to exercise applicable access, correction or deletion rights for information you send directly to support. Google and Apple provide controls for data they manage independently.
General audience and children
Chilly is intended for a general audience and is not designed primarily for children. It is not presented as an Apple Kids Category app. Device restrictions and applicable privacy requirements still apply. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information that should be addressed. A general-content advertising filter is not a guarantee that every ad will be suitable for every player; please report inappropriate ads.
Support, retention and security
If you email support or report an ad, we receive the details you choose to provide, your email address and any attachments or optional ad-response identifier. We use this to investigate and respond, retain it as needed for support and legal obligations, and do not use support email to build advertising profiles. Avoid including credentials, financial information or unnecessary sensitive data. Provider retention and deletion practices are described in their linked policies.
We use appropriate safeguards, but no network service can guarantee absolute security. This public support website is hosted separately from the game; hosting providers may process ordinary request logs to deliver and secure the site.
